alter slightly in the winter season (November-March). Akshardham is closed on Monday. Monument : Daily 9:30a.m. to 7:30p.m. (Except Mondays). Night Lighting : On Saturdays, Sundays. | How to get there: Akshardham sits in the heart of one of the greenest cities of the world -Gandhinagar, which is located on National Highway 8c. Therefore, Akshardham is accessible from every direction. On your way to Jaipur or Udaipur, Dwarika or Somnath, Modhera or Mt. Abu. By Road: Special buses and cars are provided by the tourism department, government authorities and private services. Distance by road from important locations:
23 km from national and international airports of Amdavad. By Railway: 2 km from Gandhinagar railway station. 31 km from Amdavad railway station. Other Tourist Sites: Deer Park : On the outskirts of Gandhinagar, at Indroda village. Sarita Udyan : Ideal for picnickers. A well-developed garden in sector 9. Adalaj Stepwell: 15 km. from Gandhinagar. The best stepwell of Gujarat. |

| Visitors are not allowed to carry
food inside the premises. Pure, fresh vegetarian food and snacks are available at Premvati Refreshments located in Sahajanand Vun. The restaurant caters to a wide variety of traditional dishes and delicacies, both cold and hot. Groups can book snacks and meals in advance. |
