Every Creation has an Inspiration. Akshardham
carries the fingerprints of HDH Pramukh Swami Maharaj. Right from its
first idea to the final instructions, the time he has taken out for suggestions
and decisions, the care he has provided through his presence remain the
soul of Akshardham. Clearly, confidently and continuously Swamiji inspired
the people and the project through:
Decisions:
In the course of the project, there were many crossroads that confused,
many questions that seemed to have no answers. During these situations,
Swamiji's decisions were crucial. Less as the Guru, but more as a
Guide; Less as the President, but more as a Participant, Swamiji gave
his final word on all aspects of Akshardham. Be it sculpture or construction,
design or decoration, exhibition or ambience, his divine insight and
vast experience astounded experts. |
 |
Suggestions:
Swamiji's suggestions were soft and supple, casually offered. While
walking on the grounds or standing before a sculpture, he would say,
"This is what I feel, however, you are free to finalize as you think
as you all are more learned than I." And his suggestions in fields
as diverse as cooling and painting perfected Akshardham in the special
way that appeals to so many today. |
|
Words:
Whether written or spoken, Swamiji's words have remained a remarkable
source of inspiration. The hundreds of letters written, countless
conversations held publicly and privately and a great many discourses
given to volunteers and workers, have been the major inspirational
source behind the Akshardham. |
 |
Presence:
Akshardham was a challenge of feasibility and faith. At times when
no solutions were in sight, help arrived from anywhere. Divine assistance,
inexplicable incidents made impossible things possible. When every
door seemed closed Swamiji's blessings opened new avenues. He was
spiritually present at all times, in all things, for Akshardham became
a part of his personal prayers. |
