BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha pays homage to the sadhu, volunteers,
commandos, police and pilgrims who died during the terrorist attack
in Akshardham.
Pujya Parmeshwar
Swami renounced his home and a budding career in London,
UK, to take initiation as a sadhu in 1981. Educated as a Mechanical
Engineer, Pujya Parmeshwar Swami was serving at Ahmedabad and
then Akshardham Gandhinagar for the last 22 years in the Maintenance
Department. Always serving tirelessly and enthusiastically with
a smile on his face, the loss of this beloved sadhu of Pramukh
Swami Maharaj in the terrorist attack is irreplaceable.
Shri Mahendrabhai Marghabhai Patel,
33 years old, was offering his full time services as a guide in
'Sahajanand' exhibition hall at Akshardham, Gandhinagar, since its
inauguration in 1992. He was a good orator, fond of spiritual discourses
and staunch in moral disciplines. Mahendrabhai's death is a loss
for his family and for all of us.
Shri Bachubhai Chandubhai Jadav
of Sarol village was serving enthusiastically for the past 9 years
at Akshardham. Serving as a guide and cleaner in 'Sahajanand' hall,
34 year old Bachubhai was a very soft and unassuming person who
will be remembered fondly.
Shri Kiranbhai Babubhai Mali was
a spot guide in Hall 1 for the last 4 years. Kiranbhai got interested
in Satsang due to his father Babubhai, who died last year. The death
of Kiranbhai at the young age of 27 has saddened all those who knew
him and created an irreplaceable void in his family and the Sanstha.
Shri Bhaveshkumar Mulshankar
Zhala of Aakrund (Sabarkantha), the
youngest of the volunteers who died, was only 19 years old. Enthusiatic
and ever-ready for service or spiritual work and worship, he was
serving with dedication at Akshardham's Multimedia division for
the past one year. His enthusiasm and hard work will be missed by
all at Akshardham.
We pray to God for peace to the souls of the sadhu,
volunteers, visitors, commandos and police who died in the attack,
and for strength to their families to bear the loss.
